**Colby Police Dept. Press Release**
“The Colby Police Department has two male subjects in custody reference events that took place in Colby, Ks on the evening of 10/13/2013. Officers responded to Quality Inn of Colby in reference to an armed robbery at approximately 11:15 pm. While investigating the report, officers became suspicious of a vehicle in the area and conducted an investigative stop with the vehicle on I-70 near mile marker 56. One of the subjects was placed under arrest and the second male subject (Shawn Gill) ran into a milo field north of I-70. Officers searched the area for several hours before concluding the stop. At approximately 10:30 am today, officers took the second subject into custody in rural Thomas County just a few miles from where the subject was last seen. Both subjects are being held on unrelated charges to the burglary pending further investigation. More information will be released once formal charges have been filed.”

Colby authorities recently announced they have taken 19-year old Shawn Gill into custody. He was reportedly found 5-6 miles southeast of Colby. More information to be released by Colby police this afternoon.
PRESS RELEASE FROM COLBY POLICE DEPARTMENT
8:15AM (CDT) – The Colby Police Department is asking for help looking for an individual connected with an armed robbery over night at the Quality Inn of Colby.
Colby Police are looking for Shawn Gill, age 19. He is described as a white male last seen wearing dark colored sweat pants, a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, and black and gray Nike shoes. The subject ran from officers during a traffic stop with the possible suspects in the armed robbery. The suspect ran into a milo field north of I-70 near mile marker 56 and has not been seen since.
