Colby CC’s Sharp Named KJCCC Player of the Week

COLBY, Kan. – Per a release from Colby Community College, Sophomore Guard Demarcus Sharp was named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

In Colby’s 2-0 start to the season, Sharp averaged 16 points per game while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. In 33.5 minutes per game, he also averaged 8 rebounds an 8.5 assists.

The 6-foot-4, Charleston, Mo. native notched a triple-double in Colby’s 93-73 win over Iowa Western, with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists.

Sharp came to Colby after playing last season with Moberly Area Community College.

The Trojans will be back in action Friday, November 8th, at 7 p.m. when Colby hosts Sterling College at the Colby Community Building.
