An officer clocked Bowe’s Audi A8 traveling 48 mph in a 35 mph zone around midnight over the the Chiefs bye weekend. He then said he noticed a thick odor of marijuana come from the vehicle.
Bowe and two passengers were removed from the vehicle as a K-9 unit searched the car, revealing over 10 grams of the substance and two hand-rolled cigarettes.
Bowe was cited for speeding and possession of a controlled substance, and passenger George Thompson was cited for possession. The third passenger posted the $750 bail for Bowe and $500 for Thompson. They both have municipal court hearings for Dec. 18.
Bowe faced a four game suspension during the 2009 season for using banned performance-enhancing drugs.
