Colby Community College president Seth Carter will hold a public forum to discuss the recent decision by the Higher Learning Commission to place the college on probation. The forum will be in the Robert Burnett Student Union on Thursday, July 23, at 5:30 p.m.

“We want to keep people informed and be 100 percent transparent, and we welcome community members to attend on the 23rd,” Carter said.

He intends to share information on progress the college is making towards being compliant and how probation affects CCC moving forward. There will also be an opportunity for the public to ask questions.

“CCC is still fully accredited by the HLC and students can be confident our credits transfer as they have in the past. The purpose of the forum is to be sure everybody knows the timeline and details of the corrective process,” he said.
