Goodland – The City of Goodland is pleased to offer residents an opportunity to grow their own fruits and veggies with the opening of the Goodland Community Garden. The garden is located in Phillips Park North of West Elementary at 10th and Cattletrail. The garden features a West Elementary school patch and 27 10 foot by 30 foot allotments available to the residents of Goodland to lease for the 2013 growing season. The plots are available to rent for a fee of $30 with a clean-up deposit of $15. Sign up for plots is open and will close when all plots are rented. Plots are rented in a first-come first-served basis. On April 15th at 5:30, a Spring Sprout garden orientation will prepare and orient gardeners for work. In a partnership for better living, the City will provide the land and water, and Goodland gardeners will provide the rest. Further rules and garden info are available at City Hall.
