A California man is in custody after robbing a man and his daughter with a knife at a Hays gas station off of Interstate 70.

A Hays police officer identified the vehicle north of Hays,  prompting an attempt from Tyler to elude local law enforcement. He eventually lost control of the pickup at Toulon and I-70 and tried to escape on foot.

Tyler was eventually taken into custody after resisting arrest and injuring one Hays police officer. He is now being held in the Ellis County Jail on multiple felony charges.
