Two attempted child abductions were reported this week.
Tuesday, in Colby, a red Tahoe-style newer vehicle with a black male wearing a blue shirt and flat-bill cap, tried to pick up a middle school-aged male near Colby Middle School.
The student was not hurt, ran home, and called a parent who reported the incident.
Monday, in Atwood, an older green Chevy 4-door sedan (possible Colorado tags) driven by a white male (bald), attempted to pick up a 16-year old female.
Local law enforcement and school administration asks parents to take some time to visit with children about “stranger danger” and how to react in situations of this nature. Citizens are also asked to heighten your awareness as you move around town for situations that appear out of the ordinary.
