TRIBUNE, Kan — Multiple area cross country teams ran at the Greeley County Invitational on Saturday.
Area schools competing included Goodland, Oakley, St. Francis, Greeley County & Wallace County.
The Oakley girls had the most success of any team placing third in the team scoring. Lady Plainsmen had three girls finish inside the top ten with Danielle Allison placing seventh, Jaelle Johnson placing ninth and Citori Bosserman coming in tenth place.
Wallace County girls also had a good day placing fourth in the team standings. Alyssa Pierce and Maddie Pearce led the way both finishing in the top 20. Alyssa taking 12th & Madde, 15th.
The Goodland boys were the highest finishing area team coming in fifth in the finals mens standings despite not having a run place inside the top ten. Trent Coon and Noah Schears placed 14th & 15th respectively to lead the Cowboys.
Oakley finished just behind Goodland in sixth place as a team. Tyler Schoenberger was their top runner finishing in 30th place.
Stanton County and Scott City first first and second respectively in both the girls and boys finals team standings.
