Alfalfa bales catch fire on Saline/McPherson Co. Line; Estimated $25,000 loss

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, authorities and McPherson County Rural Fire Department units were dispatched to the 1800 block of West Coronado Heights Road in Saline County for a reported fire early Wednesday morning.

 

Authorities said they found 160 bales of alfalfa on fire around 1:30 in the morning near the county border.

 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the total loss is an estimated $25,200.
