15-year-old Tucker Hoss of Weskan has been found safe and sound.
Wallace county sheriff Larry Townsend said he was found near the small town of Spirit Lake, Iowa. He was pulled over and located by local authorities when a broken headlight prompted an officer to pull over his 1986 mustang.
Tucker’s profile was posted on the National Crime Information Center, and according to Sheriff Townsend, the authorities searched the car and Tucker on the database to see if there was a hold on him. Authorities expect Tucker to be back in Wallace County within the next 36 hours.
Spirit Lake is almost 10 hours, about 600 miles, northeast of Weskan. Sheriff Townsend said the reason for Tucker leaving has not yet been determined. He has no known family or friends up in that direction, in what authorities called a runaway situation.
Sheriff Townsend said they will have more details when they get a chance to speak to Tucker back in Wallace County.
