48th annual Butterfield Trail Ride

The Butterfield Trail Association and Historical Society of Logan County, Kansas, Inc. announce the 48th Annual Butterfield Trail Ride, May 31-June1, 2014. Horse-drawn vehicles, horses, riders and hikers will cover the wide-open spaces along the Butterfield Trail. Upon their return, they camp overnight in Russell Springs.

There is no charge for participation, however, donations for the museum are accepted. Participants must supply the own bedroll, sleeping quarters, campers, trailers, tents, etc., and also mode of the travel, horses and feed. Water will be available at the campsites. Ice for sale at the museum as well as concessions both days in Porter Park.
