25 combined athletes from Colby & Goodland were named all-GWAC performers by league coaches released this past week.
In softball, Colby had seven ladies named: Gabby Miller & Kennedy Stanley in the outfield. Paige Schroer, Brielle Bange and Emmy Curry to the infield. Jersey Carney was named to the catcher spot and Kamrie Miller was named one of three pitchers. Colby lost in the first round of the state tournament.
Goodland had four girls mentioned: Jessi Duell in the outfield, Anna Gutierrez in the infield. Taitum Ketter as the designated hitter. And Brooke Livengood was named in the pitchers category. Cowgirls lost in the regional title game to Colby.
As for baseball, Goodland had four guys mentioned in Henry Cole in the outfield. Ryan Volk & Brock Mull on the infield. Chase Johnson was named to the utility spot. Cowboys lost in the semifinals of their regional
Colby had ten players honored: on the infield, named was JT Zerr, Gage Winger & Tommy Cline. Tucker Branum at the catcher spot. Konnor Griffin, Isaac Rosales & Heath Bolyard were named to the outfield list. Mason Wright was named as both a utility & pitcher. JT Zerr was also named as a all-league pitcher. The Eagles lost in the regional final to Hugoton.
