A car of five people, all 21 years of age or younger, rolled out of control Sunday at 1:30 am 2.1 miles west of Ellis and resulted in the death of a 20-year-old passenger.

Ryan Schrant of Wakeeney was not wearing his seat belt at the time the car lost control. The vehicle, driven by Dustin Zahn, 20, of Quinter, was westbound on Old 40 road near the Trego/Ellis County line when it went into the south ditch and rolled 1 and 3/4 times before coming to a rest.
